Hello all,
A quick thank you to everyone on deviantart for all of your encouraging words! I am starting a blog,
[link], which summarizes my teaching philosophy. I am also using this blog to give art students a more thorough understanding of specific techniques ranging from the early Rennaissance up to the 19th century. Comments are most definately welcome!
Over the last six months or so, I've been working on an art instruction book. Much of what I discuss in my blog will reflect the content of this book in a summarized version. The goal is to explain traditional techniques in drawing and painting from the beginning to the final stages. I feel that this type of instruction, unfortunately, is missing from a lot of art schools today.
Please, check out the blog,
[link], and let me know what you think. I will try to post new lessons on a weekly basis.
